Going to church can help your family build a stronger relationship with God. A closer connection can lead to personal fulfillment and spiritual growth, allowing you to find encouragement during difficult times and avoid harmful temptations. Here are some suggestions on how to help your family establish a deeper bond with our Lord and Savior.

How to Bring Your Family Closer to God

1. Read the Bible Together

Participating in Bible study at church allows family members to discuss God's word with peers. However, you should also read the Holy Writ with your family at home, as your loved ones can bond while sharing their interpretations of the passages. Before beginning this practice, determine what your goals are. For example, aside from becoming closer to God, another common objective is understanding the Scriptures better.

2. Pray Together

Before meals or bedtime, reserve time for your family to pray together. Each person can get the opportunity to discuss their hopes and concerns with the Lord and ask for guidance. With everyone sharing their private thoughts in a comfortable environment, your family members will feel more connected to one another.

Routine prayer with the family also instills good habits in children. Because they see their parents performing this practice, they're encouraged to continue it as they age.

3. Create a Blessing Book

When you give thanks to God for blessings and hardships, you won't have time to complain and let negativity into your hearts. For this reason, let your family members record their blessings in a book. When getting together with loved ones, pass around the journal to ensure everyone gets a chance to write in it.
