Plantation Shutters

Plantation shutters are a very respected product here at Southern Exposure. We typically recommend them first when suggesting treatment to a client (as long as they meet their needs, of course.) Plantation Shutters are the ONLY window treatments that will not only hold their value but also increase the value of your home. They are made of solid Poplar or Bass wood. They come with a life-time warranty.

Roller Shades

Roller shades are a very simple and low maintenance window covering. They come in many different fabrics, styles, and opacity's to suit any of your needs. They are cost effective and come motorized or non-motorized. Roller shades are often used on sliders as well. You may choose from solid or decorative designs.

Zebra Shades

Zebra shades (similar to sheer shades) will give your door the look of curtains with the functionality of blinds. These shades have different sized "vanes" (these are like the louvers on shutters and slats on blinds). They float between two layers of fabric. The vanes can be adjusted for privacy and light control, while the fabric transforms bright sunlight into a soft glow. You can choose from many features, such as motorization and different opacity's on these shades as well. They are definitely recommended if you love the look of curtains but they are much more fragile than a roller shade.

Cellular Shades

Cellular shades are also known as honeycomb shades. They may operate from the top down or from a down to up position. This will allow you to adjust the shades to your liking if you'd like to allow some light in but keep your privacy. They come in many different colors, styles and patterns!

Horizontal Wood & Faux Wood Blinds

These are the most cost-effective-option for your entry door if you are on a budget. Many of you are aware of how these work as these are a very common window treatment option. You may choose to have a cord operating system or use a lift and lock system which eliminates the cords.
