Colorado experienced some catastrophic wind storms last week.  Sadly, the wind combined with a fire to create one of the worst catastrophes in our state's history.  Many homes that were not damaged by the fires, did get damaged by the winds as well.  The area that had the greatest winds, was also an area that had a late summer hail storm.  Many of the roofs were replaced, but due to the changing temperatures, they did not settle properly.

A roof needs heat to settle and seal.  This often takes days or weeks to accomplish.  So who is responsible for replacing the damaged shingles?

An insurance claim is a bad idea for the most part.  The shingles are new enough to be repairable.  Plus it's not good to have multiple claims that close together.

The roof should be under warranty from the manufacturer.  Depending on what product was used, there may be different warranty language.  We are a GAF master elite installer, which means that our warranties are better than the average warranty.

Currently, we are accessing damage and using the warranty from our partnership with GAF.  Should you have damage from any recent storms, we are always here to assist!
