We hope you are enjoying your spa hot tub and want you to keep a few maintenance tips in mind to keep your spa in the best condition for use.

Filter cleaning and changes - Your filter sees a lot of dirt and grime from constant spa use.  It is best to give your filter a weekly rinse and monthly chemical soak.  Rinse your filter with warm water or a garden hose.  Do not use household cleaners, bleach, or put your filter in the dishwasher.  Soak your filters in a chemical cleaner and rinse thoroughly.  Remember to change your Eco Pure Filter every 6 months and your paper cartridge filter once a year for best results.

Air out your spa cover - It's good to take the cover completely off one or two times a week.  This allows it to dry and breathe, eliminating a breeding ground for nasty bacteria and mold growth.  You can spray the top of your cover with a vinyl cleaner or use a mild vinegar and water solution mixture.  The underside of the cover simply needs rinsed off with a hose to remove any chemicals.

Water Maintenance - Keep your water level at a good level and ensure proper water circulation.  Circulating your water allows bacteria to be filtered daily.  Always test your pH and alkaline levels.  Depending on what type of water you are using, you'll need to change your water accordingly.  Chlorine systems require a water change every 3-4 months and salt water systems only need to be changed once a year.

Recommended spa chemicals -  Test strips, sanitizer, pH increaser and pH decreaser, alkalinity increaser, shock, and defoamer.  Just remember, it is best to have your pH level at 7.4 to 7.6 and alkalinity at 150ppm (parts per million)
