What is Virtual Reality?

Commonly referred to as VR, Virtual Reality is like a computer game. It usually involves putting on fancy goggles that have tiny screens in them. The screens can tell where you are looking, and will show you a different image on how you move. Imagine watching a movie, but you can walk around the characters, and have to duck under flying debris.

Here at Nerdscape, we use the Oculus Quest 2. It comes with two remotes, one in each hand. This allows players to pick up objects in-game, like puzzle pieces. 

Virtual Reality can take you anywhere you want. There's several virtual reality escape rooms, as well! We have the Topaz Curse, but there is even an official KFC VR Escape Room! It gets pretty intense.

Virtual Reality lets escape rooms have things their insurance won't cover, like fire, bows and arrows, and sharks.
