SCC New Student Checklist

1. Submit Your Application

Complete an Application for Admission at www.southeast.edu or at any SCC campus or Learning Center. There is no cost to apply.

2. Submit Test Scores

Submit ACCUPLACER/ACT/ASSET/COMPASS/SAT scores or an official transcript showing that you’ve completed college coursework in English, mathematics and reading-intensive coursework such as sociology, psychology or philosophy. Or schedule an appointment to take the ACCUPLACER on any of our campuses. You can take the test as part of your campus visit. Just let us know, and we’ll make it happen!

3. Submit Additional Required Documents

You may be required by your Program of Study to submit some additional documents/information. For information about special program requirements, contact the Admissions Office or visit www.southeast.edu.

4. Complete the FAFSA

The Financial Aid Office will contact all incoming students regarding financial aid, which may include scholarships, part-time employment, grants, and loans. Students will be able to complete the FAFSA online to determine eligibility.

5. Prepare for Orientation & Registration

Once the admissions and financial aid processes are complete, SCC will send you information about orientation and registration, as well as other dates to remember. Feel excited and proud as you prepare for a life-changing journey.
