About Sondra Sexton-Jones
Sondra Sexton-Jones, MS, LPC, CT is a licensed counselor serving the Juneau, AK, community with professional outpatient services. For more than 25 years, her counseling and therapy treatments have supported families, couples, and individuals through times of grief, bereavement, depression, anxiety and a wide range of emotional traumas.
With a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and an extensive professional background, Ms. Sexton-Jones counsels in many facets of mental health, including:

Ms. Sexton-Jones’ unique background in suicide counseling and bereavement stems from a tragic loss in her own life. Following the death of her husband by suicide, she channeled her personal experience and professional training into the book “When Someone You Love Completes Suicide,” which has become a trusted reference material in hospitals and crisis centers across the country. She also holds professional memberships with the Association for Death Education and Counseling, the American Counseling Association, and the American Society of Suicidology.
Beyond her direct clinical services, Ms. Sexton-Jones also provides professional guidance in corporate and court settings, including workplace grief counseling and legal expert testimony. She can also provide emergency assessments and individual consultations to advise on treatment needs and referrals.
