Hawaiian Airlines held the field’s naming rights from 2011–2015 but chose not to renew after their $2.5 million deal expired. Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union took over last August, entering a three-year agreement with Aloha Stadium at $275,000 per year. Stadium manager Scott Chan told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser they are “grateful Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union was willing to step up to the plate.”

Aloha Stadium has been home to the University of Hawaii football team since 1975. It also has hosted national events, including Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer games. Several concerts also have taken place at the stadium over the years, including major performers like the Eagles, Whitney Houston, and U2.
