With beautiful beaches, stunning mountain backdrops, and breathtaking sunsets, it’s no wonder that many couples planning a wedding on Oahu want the event to be outdoors. Whether you want a simple beach ceremony or a more elaborate garden wedding, Oahu has the perfect spot for you. Although many of the following wedding locations do double duty as tourist attractions, you can rest assured you’ll have privacy and personalized attention on your special day.

4 Oahu Outdoor Wedding Spots

1. Kualoa Ranch

You might recognize Kualoa Ranch from movies like “Jurassic Park,” which is why it’s a major Oahu tourist attraction. It’s also one of the largest wedding venues on the island, capable of hosting up to 500 people. You can choose from several wedding site options here, including the beach with direct views of Kaneohe Bay, a tropical garden, an ancient Hawaiian village, or a historic ranch. Kualoa offers an extensive catering menu as well, including farm-to-table options with meat and produce from the ranch.

2. Haiku Gardens

Couples getting married at Haiku Gardens can have their ceremony in the private tropical garden or a traditional, open-air, Tahitian-style chapel. Located at the base of the Ko‘olau mountains within easy access of Honolulu and Waikiki, Haiku Gardens offers a lush, tropical rainforest background. The venue offers several wedding packages and a reception site, Haleiwa Joe’s, which overlooks the gorgeous gardens.

3. He‘eia State Park

An 18-acre peninsula surrounded by beautiful Kaneohe Bay, He‘eia State Park may be a tourist attraction, but it also offers wedding services. Have your ceremony in a traditional Hawaiian garden against a backdrop of the bay and Ko‘olau mountains, followed by a reception for up to 300 guests in the banquet center, which has a 180-degree ocean view. A wedding at He‘eia State park is more of a DIY affair since you’ll need to provide a caterer, wedding charter transportation, photographer, entertainment, and other vendors, but the exceptional location more than makes up for it.

4. Paradise Cove

Located in Ko‘olina on Oahu’s leeward side, Paradise Cove is ideal for the couple who wants an outdoor wedding incorporating a traditional luau. Choose from garden and beach sites, all of which offer views of the ocean and coastal mountains. Among the several inclusive wedding packages, many include admission to the Paradise Cove Luau. Or you can opt for a private reception on the grounds of Paradise Cove.
