If you're at the office or working from home, do pushups, squats, or knee bends during any breaks. If you don't enjoy physical activity, you can also distract yourself with woodworking, knitting, or journaling. Performing chores, such as vacuuming, can be helpful, as well. 

Stay Away From Triggers

The urge to smoke will be strongest in situations where you often enjoy a cigar. For example, consider avoiding bars, parties, or hang-outs with friends for a short period. Make a list of your triggers, and then come up with a plan to avoid cigar smoking if you feel the urge. If you often smoke while talking on the phone, for example, doodle on a piece of paper instead.
