What does Mountain Home have that we don't have at our Gassville store?
We are proud of how well our feed store in Mountain Home is doing. At the same time, we realize that our customers forget that they have that option when they are in town. Yes, it is smaller and yes, they may not always have what you need. But there are things that make it special. Here are a few of them.
Penny Honey - our primary customer service agent will blow you away with her desire to help you. She's chatty, cheerful and knows everybody. I know there are several customers that visit that location, simply to see Penny. The guys that work there are also great... helpful, friendly and ready to load your vehicle.
Baby Chicks - both feed stores will be getting a new hatch of chicks on April 5th/6th. Currently there is a good supply of nearly-feathered chicks waiting to be adopted at the Mountain Home store: Cinnamon Queens, Barred Rocks, Dominiques and Buff Orpingtons pullets. Penny would LOVE to help you pick out some chicks. (She supplied the photo.)
Fresh Eggs - For those that really aren't into the chicken scene, Penny has arranged to have fresh eggs delivered to the Mountain Home store every week. They sell for $3.29 a dozen, are grown locally and distributed at several area locations.
Bulk Mulch - The Mountain Home feed store has brown and red mulch. It is no longer stocked at our Gassville/Midway store. They'll scoop it loose onto your trailer or pick-up truck. $29 per scoop (apprx one yard).
Gregg Farm Services, like many retailers, is struggling with supply issues and price increases in many departments. Both the Mountain Home and Gassville stores are working hard to meet your spring season demands. We have a great supply of garden seed, but there are holes. We have fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides, but they are hard to get. We have lawn and pasture seed, but it is expensive. Times are tough for all of us, but we are thankful to be living freely in a great country with plenty of resources. Come visit us when you can!
