Hooray! I Finished Writing My Book at Jordan Hill Farm

For the past two years, I've had an idea for a book that begs to be written. The research is done. Interviews are complete. A professional book editor liked my idea and encouraged me to go ahead. So why wasn't my book getting written? The simple answer is that daily life kept getting in my way. So what is a frustrated writer to do? I found my solution at Jordan Hill Farm in the rolling hills of central Kentucky not far from Lexington. Jordan Hill Farm is a retreat and event facility watched over by owner Joyce Green, whose hospitality knows no bounds. I booked a two-week stay, wrote every day, all day, in Jordan Hill's spacious dining room. Light poured in through the huge wall of windows. My only distraction was the beautiful view of nearby woods and ridges. The only sound the chirping of birds and occasional mooing of cattle in a distant pasture. At night, the farm was so quiet, I slept soundly, without interruption, a real blessing for someone who lives on a busy street in the center of Nashville where traffic is loud and sirens even louder I had the house to myself. But if several writers want come to Jordan Hill, split the cost, and write productively, Joyce Green will roll out the welcome mat! The farm house has plenty of room for at least three writers to work in peace and quiet. In addition to the dining room, the first floor has a cozy library with a beautiful stone fireplace and its own full bathroom. The second floor has two bedrooms plus a lovely jacuzzi tub in the largest bathroom. All rooms have access to internet and wi-fi.
