Nandita Chandra - Actress is a New York-based award winning actress and model, known for her work on the international stage and in a variety of independent films. Beginning her career as a television anchor for Channel V in India, Chandra also boasts the title of children’s theater director as well as the distinction of being the first Indian woman to be accepted into the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School’s MFA acting program. She is an active member of the Off Broadway Irish Repertory Theatre, and her recent performances for the company include Edible Woman and Anastasia.
Chandra is best known for her work in “I-Pod,” a one-woman show that tells the tale of a New York City artist who pretends to be an environmentalist to win a generous grant. Chandra’s continued performance in this role has earned her the award for “Outstanding Actress” at The Midtown International Theater Festival in New York City and “Best Solo Show” at The Nettie Awards 2012.
