Case presenting: This is a 66 year old woman presented for implant placement to replace the previously extracted #30. An examination revealed large bilateral lingual tori. There was heavy centric prematurity of the left bicuspids with a shift to the right upon closing. Occlusal stress is associated with torus formation.

TX: Treatment included scaling and root planning to reduce probing depth and bleeding, bite adjustment and surgical removal of the bilateral tori. At the lingual torus removal 2 surgical visits and we also reduced the buccal torus at #30. The socket was incompletely healed and required grafting.

Photos show pre-treatment, post treatment and 2 months post-surgery on the right and 2 weeks post on the left.
