About Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar

“We can’t say enough good things about Upstate, a little beer and oyster bar that recently opened in the East Village," says Andrew Steinthal of Immaculate Infatuation. "Truly good oyster bars aren’t easy to come by in this city, and [the East Village] needed one in the worst way.”

Opened in 2011, Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar brings a relaxed atmosphere with good food and great tasting regional beers to the East Village.

Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar prides themselves on their unbelievibly fresh seafood and a constant supply of differing regional craft beers. They order daily from the market to provide you with fresh and simple seafood. And since the restaurant does not have a freezer, Upstate's menu may vary due to market demands.

Their beer selection changes often too. With eight taps, there is always an eclectic variety of craft beers rotating weekly – and sometimes even daily.

Aside from their world-class beer selection and chilled oysters, Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar offers a complete menu of dishes, including shareable bar snacks like cheese and charcuterie plates, as well as main seafood dishes like scallops, wild sea bass, squid and the house favorite fettuccine and clams.
