1. Close the App

It is not unusual for an app to get stuck in a logic loop that causes the device to freeze. Double-tap the Home button to access the multitasking screen, then cycle through the open apps until you've found the one that froze. Swipe upwards to close it. In many cases, this will unfreeze the device.

2. Restart the Device

If that does not unfreeze the device, restart the phone by pressing and holding the power button until a red slider appears. Swipe the slider to shut down and then restart the phone.

Finally, once you determine which app is causing the freeze, delete it and redownload it. To do so, tap and hold the app until it starts shaking. Next, press the X, and then head to the App Store to download it again.
