Healthy, beautiful smiles are important at every age. When you're looking for ways to boost the oral hygiene of your entire family, routine visits to your dentist are a must. However, many families don't see the dentist as often as they should because they don't have dental insurance. Thankfully, many family dentistry practices offer membership plans as an alternative to dental insurance. The following guide explores dental membership plans and their benefits.

What Is Preventative Oral Care & Why Is It Important?

In addition to a strict regimen of brushing and flossing twice a day, dentists define preventive care as professional teeth cleanings and annual check-ups. At the dentist, our team can polish your teeth and remove plaque and tartar buildup, reducing the risk of gum disease and tooth decay that could require fillings, extractions, and restorative treatments in the future. By embracing preventive appointments, you'll maintain healthy teeth and gums, avoid discomfort when chewing, and reduce the risk of needing extensive and costly restorative treatments.

What Is a Dental Membership Plan & How Is It Beneficial?

Our dental membership plan offers patients an alternative to insurance. For a set monthly fee, you'll have the opportunity to schedule routine check-ups and cleanings. You can stick to your family budget without sacrificing oral health by choosing monthly payment plans. You'll eliminate the stress of paying deductibles, talking to your insurance company to determine coverage, and putting off dental appointments. Additionally, having a dental membership plan means you won't be hindered by pre-existing conditions, making you more likely to schedule routine check-ups for your family.

Our practices at Dental Associates of Prairie du Chien, P.C., Family Dentistry Associates of Monona, and Waukon Dental offer a wide range of membership plans to suit your needs. Both standard adult and standard child plans include two cleanings per year, X-rays, an oral cancer screening, one emergency exam per year, one fluoride treatment annually, and 10 percent off any additional treatments. When you sign up for a family plan for three or more individuals, you'll save 10 percent each month. If you have a history of gum disease, they also offer a special maintenance plan focused on gum health.
