Blake Schultz started Mobile Link in 1991. Offered the opportunity and using his trusty VW Golf, Schultz was hired as a private contractor to install cellular phones for a new cellular company called Cellular One. He installed cellular phones in vehicles but took the opportunity to install other 12 volt products in cars, trucks as well as boats. Items that were being installed were car stereos, speakers, amplifiers, and remote car starters. His VW was replaced by a van and Schultz began operating Mobile Link out of his garage.

Years later into his garage based business, Schultz decided to go a step further. In 2000 he opened a retail store on 8^th Street in Wisconsin Rapids that featured a showroom and two install bays. Years later he opened a second location in Waupaca, making a name for the business thanks to his great relationships with customers all over central Wisconsin.
