Buying the right phones for your businesses Hosted VoIP Phone service. Button Mapping your phones.

One of the advantages of buying from a broker is we come see you in person and show you your options.

If your run a typical small business you most likely have 4-8 phone lines and 4-10 phones. Most small businesses make the mistake of buying the wrong phones because the direct company reps don’t understand how to button map a phone correctly.

If your phone is button mapped correctly you can look at it and see every employee’s name and if they are on the phone or not. You should also be able to just press the button by their name to either ring their phone or transfer a call to them.

You should also have enough buttons on your phone to give you 1 or two system wide hold/park buttons that allow you to pick up a parked call on that button from any phone on your system. Please note this is called hold on a regular phone system. You should also have an all page soft touch button under the display as well as a transfer to voicemail button.
