3. Applying the Asphalt

They will pay close attention to the butt joint areas, which are the spots where new and old asphalt meet.

4. Completing the Final Inspection

After rolling trucks have evened out the new surface, contractors will walk around the area looking for any small stone or aggregate bumps. They may smooth these by hand or use machinery for larger spaces.

Once you’ve approved of the look, your area will be ready for use in around 24 hours. Keep in mind that asphalt may need up to a year to fully cure.
