The holidays are easily the greatest distraction to derail any fitness enthusiast’s routine.  Incorporate these 5 habits to detour cravings and indulgent time period between December 20 – January 1.  

  1. Set appointments in your calendar for fitness programs and/or training sessions.  Treat these appointments as you would a doctor, dentist or stylist appointment.
  2. Pack fitness clothing, shoes and water bottle/protein for the week and place in a convenient area.
  3. Plan your meals the night before including food prep to avoid grabbing the wrong foods when hunger hits or ordering delivery of high caloric meals. 
  4. Drink more water than usual to curb hunger, stay hydrated and feel more energized.
  5. Start a new fitness program like yoga, functional exercise or group training or beginner tennis program with friends, co-workers or visiting family to add interest and motivation during this busy time of year.
