What to expect from Group Lessons
Group tennis instruction is a great way to begin learning to play tennis. Groups possess a level of energy, fun, and encouragement that can not be replicated in any other format. Plus, you’ll meet other newbies while learning the basics of the game.
A set schedule for learning
Mark the day/time on your calendar each week and look forward to your time on the court. Whether you are a child, high schooler or adult, this approach to learning is always best. You will be mentally and physically prepared to know this is your hour! Each session starts with a warm-up followed by verbal and visual tennis instruction of the skill or skills learning that day. Most weeks there will be ample time allocated for practice. It is expected that you will set aside additional time to hone your skills. Players should arrive a few minutes early and dress in athletic type clothing.
Meet friends and tennis professionals
The only way to improve is practice and perfect your skills. Use the group tennis instruction opportunity to find hitting partners. Tennis pros are always a great resource and may even provide times outside of class to practice.
