3. Prop It Up

Metal rusts when overexposed to wet conditions. While the tank should be able to handle the winter without worry, a consistent presence of moisture can lead cause it to deteriorate. To combat this problem, prop the unit up on cinderblocks to limit its contact to the dew or rain-covered ground.
