If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, a group tour may be right up your alley. Before you book your vacation, you may be wondering what to expect and what accommodations will be available. The guide below answers some frequently asked questions to keep you informed of what to look forward to once you place your reservation.

3 Travel Tour FAQ

Will I Have Free Time to Myself?

You may have some time to yourself when you’re not on the motorcoach with friends or attending a group excursion. If the trip is overnight, you may have free time in the hotel and personal time to sight-see during the day or check out the nightlife on your own. The amount of free time on each tour varies. Some trips may also be scheduled to include free time to allow travelers to choose their own adventure.

Do I Have to Go on Every Excursion?

Travel ToursThis may depend upon the trip and the way it has been scheduled. Talk to your tour guide or trip coordinator about how easy it would be if you need to sit out a segment of the trip. While you have paid for the excursions and it would be great if you remain with the tour group, your guide will be understanding if you are not feeling well or need to take a break. Notify the tour manager of your plans for personal safety, and be back with the group prior to the departure time to be respectful of the schedule and the other travelers’ time.

How Many Bags Can I Bring?

Due to the number of travelers on any given trip, you are usually limited to one suitcase per person. Since luggage space can be tight, it’s a good idea to plan carefully and pack just enough clothing for the number of days you will be on the trip with one spare outfit or two. To save space, wear your extra jacket or stow it in a bag or purse to keep with you on the bus. In addition to your suitcase, you are allowed to bring a carry on bag along.  The carry-on will be with you on the motorcoach while your suitcase will be kept in the compartments underneath the coach.  You can call our office if you have specific questions regarding items you can bring on each trip.
