Talking about your feelings and spending time with other people can help ease extreme feelings of sadness. 

2. Keep Yourself Busy Doing Tasks You Love

However, it’s important to practice self-care when going through difficult life challenges, and that includes doing activities that make you happy. Taking a yoga class, watching a movie, or meeting a friend for coffee are all excellent ways to lift your spirits and experience a change of pace.

3. Don’t Shut out Your Feelings

Processing grief is painful, and it can be tempting to push the feelings away. But studies show that grieving is a natural part of loss that ultimately helps people cope and move on in a healthy way.
