After the oven cools, you can scoop out the ash and dispose of it in the trashcan. Make sure to remove the metal racks first, as it is best to clean those separately to prevent damage. Open kitchen windows and turn on the vent to help heat and odors dissipate. 

2. Use a Water & Baking Soda Solution

If you have an older oven without self-cleaning technology, you can clean the appliance manually with a solution of baking soda and water. Cover the inside of the oven with the paste and then spray it with vinegar. Let the solution rest for 20 minutes to break down the residue before wiping it away with a damp rag. Soak the metal racks in water, vinegar, and baking soda and use a non-abrasive pad to scrub away any lingering gunk. 

3. Use an All-Purpose Cleaner on the Glass Panel

Residue and burn marks can cloud the oven's glass door, which can make it difficult to see food cooking. To clean the inside of the panel, first spritz it with an all-purpose cleaner or cover it in baking soda and water and let the solution set overnight. After you wipe away the all-purpose cleaner or baking soda, use a razor blade to carefully scrape away any burn marks or food residue still stuck to the surface.
