4 Tips for Boxing Rest Days

1. Get Plenty of Sleep

Adequate sleep is beneficial for everyone, but it’s especially important for boxers. Sleeping eight to 10 hours a night will allow your muscles to recover and help you focus in the ring. If you feel drowsy in the middle of the day, don’t hesitate to take a short nap. 

2. Take an Ice Bath

While the idea of an ice bath might not seem appealing, it can reduce inflammation and swelling while increasing blood flow to your muscles. You may feel slight discomfort for the first couple of minutes, but your body will adapt. Sit in the ice bath for about 10 to 15 minutes.

3. Fill Up on Protein
