The Poarch Band of Creek Indians just announced the new entertainment complex in Foley, Alabama will be called "Owa". Owa, which is a Creek word meaning "big water" is a 520-acre project located at the corner of Foley Beach Express and Baldwin County Road 20 and will include shopping, lodging and theme park. This Complex will be closely related to the Foley Sports Tourism Complex which hopes to attract large sporting tournaments it its new state of the art facility boasting 16 fields and 90,000 sq. ft. indoor events center.
