BED BUGS

Bed bugs are parasitic insects that feed on human blood. They can enter your home through luggage, clothes, very small cracks, crevices in walls and flooring, as well as underneath carpets. Due to the small spaces, it is harder for male and female bed bugs to mate, so it occurs less often. When it does, a female bed bug can lay up to two hundred eggs during its lifespan (which is around twelve eggs per a day). After six to seventeen days, the eggs hatch and then it takes the newly hatched bed bugs up to ten weeks to meet maturity. Bed bugs are more likely to be active at night, although they are known to bite during the day if hungry enough. They are very hard to get rid of because of their use of small crevices and the large amount of eggs that a female can lay.
