With a busy work schedule, it can be challenging to find time to exercise. Incorporating physical activity into your daily routine won't only help you achieve your body transformation goals, it will also help you remain focused and energized to succeed in your professional pursuits. Here are a few suggestions on how to balance work and fitness.

Slip in a Walk During Lunch Breaks

In many jobs, employees are given a one-hour lunch break. You can use this time to break a sweat. Take 15 minutes of each lunch to walk around the block. Doing so can help burn the calories you just consumed and reduce bloating and gas that could otherwise leave you feeling sluggish and uncomfortable for the remainder of the workday. When you go back into the building, burn even more calories by climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator.

Try "Deskercising"

With your hands free as you read emails, you can perform triceps stretches. Raise one arm and bend it toward the opposite side. Hold the position for up to 30 seconds and then repeat with the other arm. This exercise helps increase range of motion and lengthen muscles to improve posture. Hamstring stretches are a good way to work out your legs from a seated position. With one leg extended, try to touch your toes and hold the position for up to 30 seconds before repeating with the other leg. This exercise increases the range of motion in the hip.

Opt for a Rise & Shine Workout

If your day will be jam-packed with meetings and conference calls, try to get in a morning workout at the gym before you head to the office. This grants the opportunity to work with a personal trainer and get encouragement from a fitness community that is eager to see you pass milestones to get closer to your body transformation goals. Breaking a sweat helps release endorphins, putting you in good spirits for the start of your workday.
