The largest indoor public museum of its kind in the USA, The American Sign Museum celebrates more than 100 years of commercial signs and sign-making as art and history. Visitors of all ages enjoy strolling through the displays, which cover 1870 to the 1970s.

You can learn more during your visit by listening to the audio tour on your phone. This museum features a full-time neon sign workshop, Neonworks of Cincinnati, where you can watch sign makers demonstrate their craft.

2. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden

Home of the famed hippo Fiona, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden covers more than 65 acres in the city's center. Opened in 1875, it's the United States' second-oldest zoo. The original animal collection included monkeys, grizzly bears, elk, an alligator, and a talking crow.

Now, the zoo includes animals from all over the world, from aardvarks to zebras. Numerous exhibits, including insects and flowers, and entertainment options, such as rides, and a 4D theater, make this a top attraction for visitors who travel downtown.
