Disabled veterans can face a number of daily challenges when they return home from service and unfortunately, they don’t always receive the assistance they need. It’s important to not only raise awareness about this issue, but to also help. Recently, the professionals at SERVPRO of Greater St. Augustine / St. Augustine Beach in St. Johns County, FL, made it their duty to give back. They’ve learned the importance of community through their extensive storm, water, and fire damage repair services and are proud to help their community through hard times.

The Ramp Project

When SERVPRO learned that a disabled U.S. military veteran in the St. Augustine area couldn’t afford to build a wheelchair ramp to enter his home, they, along with St. John’s Housing Partnership and Luce Air, decided to take care of the job, free of charge. Together, they custom-built a ramp to the veteran’s home, ensuring he could always come and go without facing obstacles.

Why SERVPRO Cares

The team at SERVPRO knows that challenges arise and things happen that are out of anyone’s control. It takes a community standing together and helping one another to overcome many of these obstacles. The local business truly cares about their community, which is why they’re committed to more than just fire damage repair and damage restoration services — they’re also committed to volunteering.
