To produce this kind of immersion, Dolby Atmos makes use of a 7.1.4 setup. 7 refers to the front, rear, and side speakers, 1 is the subwoofer, and 4 is in reference to the overhead speakers. All of this adds up to a realistic listening experience with 360-degree sound that you’d find in most theaters.
