Things to do in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach
Waterville
This is two parks in one; 20 acres of a wide variety of amusements for all ages. The waterpark includes: the Flowrider which gives the feeling of surfing; a 25,000 square foot wave pool; a variety of waterslides, a pool for the little ones; and more. The amusement park includes: Racing go carts; a bounce house; mini-golf; an arcade and rides for the little ones. The waterpark is open 10 AM to 6 PM summer only. Hang Out Fest
The hangout is right on the beach at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Highway 59. It has art, food, bars and a stage where they have a variety of entertainment but mostly music. This is where they hold "The Hangout Music Festival" which lasts 3 days in mid-May. The festival is hugely popular and tickets sell out quickly.
Gulf Coast Zoo
This 16 acre zoo is Animal Planets "Little zoo that could". It features 450 animals like lions, tigers, bears, an alligator, monkeys, and a variety of birds. Thankfully, the animals in photo 3 are not real. You can arrange encounters with lemurs, tigers, kangaroos and various reptiles. Check the website for availability. Hours are 9 AM to 4 PM daily. Admission is $11 for adults (12 to 54); $9 seniors (55 and up); $8 for kids (3 to 11) and kids under 3 free. Zooland Mini-Golf is located in front of the zoo.
