1. Dark n' Stormy

4. Hurricane

This strong drink earned its fame at Mardi Gras, so it's a great option for a carnival-themed party. Place into a shaker two ounces light rum, two ounces dark rum, two ounces passion fruit juice, one ounce orange juice, a half-ounce fresh lime juice, one tablespoon grenadine, and one tablespoon simple syrup. Shake together with ice, strain into a glass filled with ice, and garnish with an orange slice and cherry. 

5. Mai Tai

Refreshing mai tais bring a taste of the islands to your home. Fill a shaker three-quarters with ice, then add two ounces light rum, 0.75 ounces Triple Sec, and 1.5 teaspoons amaretto. Shake for 15 seconds, then strain into a glass over ice. Garnish with a lime slice and twist.
