The approach that has been missing since the existence of critical incidents involving an assailant is educating individuals in exactly what to do and how to do it; and a holistic preparedness approach. 

Parents- Your schools cannot answer the following:

Employees- Your employer cannot answer the following: 

1. What exactly do you do if confronted by an active shooter?
2. How exactly do you do to escape or evade an active shooter?
3. Many other questions can be asked, and you would not receive an answer. Those two will be all you need for the truth to be shown.
*Ask. They will not give a detailed answer. They will say they have locked doors, security, patrols, SRO’s, and lockdown procedures. So you know, one SRO stopped an active shooter in the history of active shooters (historical data- not an opinion). Employers will have the same set of generalized answers.
