"Rizo’s overall had really good food. The chips they brought out before the meal were delicious. They came with green chili (very spicy but tasty) and a pico de Gallo that was also very good. The workers were super friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. It’s a really old building and the atmosphere wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t horrible by any means. Just could use some upgrades. I am vegetarian and there were some options for me (not tons, but some). I got the veggie burrito which was easily the best veggie burrito I’ve ever had because it had peppers and zucchini in it (among other things) whereas most veggie burritos are basically just beans and cheese. I HIGHLY recommend the homemade churros they have. My mom and I split one that was caramel filled and it was hands down the best churro I’ve ever had. Super delicious. I will likely come back to Rizo’s if I ever end up back in Alamogordo."... more
