1. Is Skydiving Safe?

Statistically speaking, skydiving is safer than driving to work. It may not be something people do every day and may even seem to go against your most basic instincts in regards to safety, but you’re in good hands. 2. How Do We Land?

3. Is There a Jolt When the Parachute Opens?

After your initial plane flight to jump altitude, your time spent in free fall depends on many factors, including your altitude, tandem weight, and the time of year. It can last anywhere between 20 to 60 seconds, and afterward, your parachute flight will last about 10 minutes.

The chances of passing out during free fall are very slim. But if you do, you’ll be safely secured to a certified USPA tandem instructor the whole time. (Try to keep your eyes open, though, or you’ll miss the incredible view!)
